I cook all the time.... With a family of seven it's really a no brainier that I have to cook, cook a ton of food, and cook on a budget.
This morning I got up with Jon(3:30am) and made him breakfast. Before deciding what to make I got on the elusive Pinterest! I found a perfect recipe for Jon, ham and cheese frenchtoast. It was a total win! I only made enough for him because I do not eat ham.
I used the bread, ham, and cheese from our sandwich selections. The eggs were from our chickens.
I started with scrambling two large eggs in a bowl. Then I assembled the sandwich and placed it in the while the butter was melting in a small cast iron skillet. After throughly covering the sandwich with the egg I placed it in the skillet. Cooked each side to my liking and served it with a side of fried egg and a big ole' glass of sweet tea.
There you have it, breakfast for one for less than a $1.00!
My first blog post and of course it's about food.
